To sort of explain this piece. When I first saw the episode of bleach where mayuri is introduced, I thoguht "man that guy looks like a nutcracker!" So last January I was wandering through the local craft store's christmas clearance, and they had blank wood craft nutcrackers... I put two and two together and a long time later, the mayuri nutcracker is introduced!
This is heavily modified from the original piece I got. The hat swerve, ear things and his zanpakuto are custom made. I didn't spend a lot of time making it, but more than I should have.
